Disney / Pixar’s FUNDAY

Over the course of 2 years, I spearheaded a monthly high-profile, on-air campaign and it’s evolution from ABC Family and Disney’s Freeform, promoting their “FunDay” weekend events featuring marathons of Disney and Pixar animated movies. As the writer and producer, I crafted an irreverent, viral-leaning presentation of these beloved classics, uniquely tailored to resonate with a millennial audience and offer a slightly counter-culture twist on Disney’s traditional image.

Under my direction, this campaign not only refreshed the way viewers engaged with these iconic films but also significantly boosted the network’s ad-sales. The spots, filled with wit and a playful tone, captivated and entertained viewers, turning the “FunDay” weekend into a cornerstone event for the network. This campaign’s success was instrumental in establishing a new, vibrant brand identity for ABC Family and Freeform, appealing both to nostalgic viewers and a new generation of fans.
